I have been teaching Social Psychology, Group Dynamics and Social Research in international universities for more than 25 years, and I have been Chairperson of a Department of Psychology. I have earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) through an experimental social psychology dissertation on the effects of dissonance on motivation for selective exposure to information. This dissertation was published on a book (Marin, 1981), scientific journals and on several international conferences.

In 1994, I did an academic tour of several U.S. universities lecturing on racial prejudice, magical beliefs that may help prevent HIV risk behavior, and folkloric psychotherapy. The first of these lectures was based on a book that I first authored, containing the results of a research on child prostitution in the Dominican Republic that I conducted for UNICEF. Furthermore, I have abundant experience on new instructional techniques as the UNICEF’s Visualization in Participatory Programs (VIPP).

Since 2000, I have been doing market research with Hispanic populations for several consumer package products, financial, and international institutions in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Chicago, D.C., and Miami.
